A Utah Tech pupil dies.A Utah Tech University student died after plunging from the roof on the university’s housing complex early on Sunday morning.

Peyton Hall, an a first-year Utah Tech student, crashed from the upper floor of Park View Apartments and Suites II on December 4 and passed away instantly. Hall’s roommates saw the fall and immediately called 911.On December 6 at 5 o’clock, the Trailblazing Activities Team will hold an evening vigil with candles for Hall on the northern part of Encampment Mall.

According to Scott Sharp:

the vice chair of marketing and communications, the Utah Tech police force arrived on the scene about 2:30 a.m. and immediately began saving lives until medics could arrive.

Although Hall’s exact cause of death is still unknown, Sharp stated in a speech that it seemed to be a suicide. After investigators conducted a toxicology test on the scene, the matter is currently being examined by the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office.

The West Emotional Medical Center mobile crisis team came to the scene in the early morning hours to provide mental health assistance to students as well as individuals involved.
